Gavdzinsky Albin - Ukrainian artist

Gavdzinsky Albin (1923 - 2014) - honored (1976) and national (2004) artist of Ukraine.
Talented painter, landscape painter, master of genre painting and portraiture. Albin Stanislavovich's painting is recognizable - whether it is a portrait, landscape or subject composition. Everything is imbued with reverent lightness, filled with unusual beauty of ordinary things.
Successfully worked in the genre of still life, landscape, subject composition. With the greatest brightness and completeness showed himself in the landscape.
His works are in art museums in Kiev, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Lvov, as well as in numerous private collections in Ukraine, Germany, France, Japan, Great Britain, Spain, Poland, Canada, Australia and the USA.
In his youth the future painter attended two studios of fine arts - in the Palace of Pioneers and the House of Creativity, where his persistence and efficiency were highly appreciated by teachers - Bershadsky, Tseytlin, Timofeev.
In 1940-1950 he studied at the Odessa Art School, which he graduated with honors in 1950 (teacher Pavlyuk Nikolai Artemovich). As the best graduate, was recommended to the Riga Academy of Arts, but preferred to go to the construction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant. The artist was inspired by life itself, movement, creation, capturing which, he added poeticism to the construction everyday life.
In 1941-1946 he was a participant of military operations (flight instructor in the flight school of the Air Force).

Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in the Odessa Art Museum, in museums of Kiev and Kharkov.
Albin Stanislavovich was characterized by incredible efficiency and perseverance. His drawings and sketches from life were characterized by clear form and brightness of colors. On the outlook of the artist influenced visits to museums, exhibitions, trips with teachers in the Crimean collective farms and enterprises in Odessa.
1954 - the first personal exhibition (together with K. Lomykin) in OHM, Odessa.
In 1961 he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of New Kakhovka. All painted canvases (237 in number) the artist presented to the city, where they became the basis for the creation of the city art gallery. In 2003 Novokahivka Art Gallery was named after Albin Gavdzinsky.

For 20 years he was a member of the board of the Odessa branch of SCU. He lived and worked in Odessa.
